hello guys, i’m from Romania, and i want to say that i love this new unnamed bass guitar, and i like Jerzy’s work to,i wish to have one of those guitars, i have a cheap guitar, because i can’t afford an expensive one, a better one , i hope that the winner to be a man who’s really need’s that guitar, not a rich one. sorry for my bad english, keep you finger busy

sinceramente el bajo me parece feo,ni punto de comparacion con el diseño de los jerzy de siempre,otra cosa es el sonido.

I Believe that the real beauty of an object is in its form,and how well the overall design integrates with function,not with superficial “ornamental” features.That being said,I like the contest bass as a whole,but I don’t like the bridge,it seems overly ornamental,asymmetrical and out of place.

The contest bass is the first ‘singlecut’ that I’ve liked.

Perhaps why I like it is that the upper bout angles slightly back; what post #17 dislikes is exactly what I like about the design. It is more fluid and beautiful to the eye than an abrupt 90 degree cut.

As to scale length and B tension, I’m sure the Meistro knows what he’s doing.I’m excited that he’s starting a bass design course. For all you naysayers on 33″ scale, take the course.

Me encanta el diseño del bajo, y en general todo vuestro trabajo.
Lo único que para mi gusto es el flat fretboard, me parecen un tanto incómodos, aunque eso claro que depende directamente de la anchura y grosor del brazo, quizá en su medida proporción sea algo de lo más cómodo, tendría que probarlo en persona xD yo hubiera quizá pensado en tener la opción de un radio más sutil de más de 22″ para no dejar completamente plano el fretboard. pero para gustos los colores.. xD

I love the 33″ scale, I personally don’t buy into the hype that longer scale produces tighter B’s, or proper tension. Whenever you tune an instrument you are adjusting the tension of the string to resonate at a particular frequency, thus creating “proper tension”………still my opinions and I’m most likely wrong.
