To power our instruments we use Aguilar onboard preamps. Our new JeDXS pickups were specially designed and tuned to get the maximum performance from these fine electronics.

OBP-3 Specifications

The OBP-3 is Aguilar's most flexible onboard preamp design, providing +/-18dB of cut and boost at 40Hz, +/- 16dB of cut and boost at either 400Hz or 800Hz and +/- 16dB of treble cut and boost at 6.5 kHz. The OBP-3 has multiple wiring options and can be wired with either a mini-toggle or internal dip-switch for midrange frequency selection.

Available as standard on Basic™, Excellency™, Mastery™  Signature™, Legend ™, Sequel™, and Prodigy L.E. ™ basses.

All FET design, Two bands of  boost

Maximum amount of boost: 18db, occuring at 40Hz for the bass and 4kHz for the treble.

18 volt system. Runs on two 9-volt batteries. This allows for maximum headroom.

The OBP-1™´s boost-only design gives you the tone-shaping benefits of active electronics without losing the inherent sound of the instrument. The OBP-1's discrete, all-FET circuitry features up to 18dB of boost at 40Hz and 4kHz, creating a sonic environment high in dynamic headroom and low in noise.

Since we use Aquilar OBP-3 on all basses this preamp is available optionaly on all basses except Barcelona™ bass for those who prefer
2 band preamps over 3 band layout. You can chosse the new OBP-2
as well.
